Slate roof repair, replacement & copper work
Careful slate repairs and full slate roof replacements, with copper flashing, gutters and downspouts to match.
Slate roof replacement & repair
Natural slate can protect a home for generations, but only when the slate, fasteners and flashing are installed correctly. Many older homes in the Philadelphia suburbs still have their original slate, and a lot of what looks like a failing slate roof is really failing flashing or broken individual pieces.
We inspect slate roofs carefully, repair what can be repaired and replace the full roof when that is the right call. On our Jenkintown project we replaced the full slate roof together with the copper gutters and downspouts.

Copper flashing & gutters
Copper is the traditional partner for slate. It lasts as long as the roof and weathers to a natural patina. We install copper flashing, standing seam accents, gutters and downspouts alongside slate work.

Frequently asked questions
Can a slate roof be repaired instead of replaced?
Often, yes. If the slate is still sound, replacing broken pieces and failing flashing can add many years. We will tell you honestly which option fits your roof.
Do you install copper gutters with slate roofs?
Yes. Our Jenkintown project included a full copper gutter and downspout replacement with the new slate roof.
